About Us

We are a family owned and operated minority business with deep Jamaican roots. Our location at the corner of Georgia Ave & 16th street is a charming niche Caribbean ice cream spot serving the DMV area with delightful and tantalizing tropical flavors. We are purveyors of the very popular York Castle brand of ice cream. This location is the first York Castle ice cream shop which opened back in 1985. Our customers have come to enjoy the wide variety of awesome flavors and our great customer service. Many of our adult customers regularly remind us that they have been coming to this location since they were kids. We appreciate the support over the years of our Silver Spring, MD community and the greater Washington D.C. area.
